How to Stay Relevant in the Age of AI?

In the first article, I highlighted how AI is upending the way we work and create.

Now we need to talk about solutions. Because between a “collapse” and a “renaissance,” we need to find a way to reinvent ourselves.

That’s what I call the pivot.

Let’s go!

  1. Bet on what machines can’t (yet) do

AI is great at executing and imitating. But authenticity, human warmth, and the ability to tell a personal story remain hard to automate.

How?

By sharing truly unique experiences that only a human can live and understand. AI copies well, but it doesn’t have your memories or your values. We’re entering an era where emotion is the new scarce commodity. Because everything else can be generated by an algorithm, sincere emotion is what sets us apart.

  1. Build tribes

I predict that niche communities will become increasingly important because of AI. Instead of chasing the largest possible audience, target your niche. A loyal, engaged community is worth more than thousands of passive followers.

Then, have real conversations, even with a smaller audience. Some channels are less vulnerable to AI, like direct chats. Doing the unscalable will become increasingly valuable. Build a direct relationship with your audience, one where people know who you really are.

  1. Dare to be transparent and sincere

When feeds are saturated with AI-generated text and images, trust becomes the most precious asset. Clearly state when you use AI and why. Showcase your human process: behind the scenes, trial and error.

The further AI advances, the more misinformation multiplies. Creators then become guardians of truth and guides of meaning.

  1. Get curious, test, experiment

So, AI is here to stay. We know that much. Rather than fearing it, let’s see it as a tool that can support our creativity. Let’s be demanding with it. First, learn to automate tasks (research, drafts, etc.) to save time and focus on what you prefer doing.

Then, place the emphasis on deeply human facets: empathy, vision, intuition. AI is constantly evolving. But so are we. Don’t underestimate your ability to adapt: it’s a human strength. Keep training yourself. Artificial intelligence is something you get better at mastering with practice.

Toward the renaissance

By pivoting, we find concrete ways to stay relevant despite content saturation. But this pivot is only one step.

In the next article, we’ll talk about renaissance: how to go beyond adaptation and create value that’s human, unique, and inimitable.

In the meantime, remember:

• AI doesn’t dictate the path forward — we’re the ones who decide the direction.

• Our authenticity and our vision remain irreplaceable, even when everything seems to be automated.

In the third and final article, I’ll explain why I’m optimistic: we’ll see how humans can reinvent creativity, cultivate emotion, and bring meaning back to their work in an era that changes every day.
