Dynamic, engaging content for the Parlement francophone des jeunes
Dynamic social media content aimed at a young, international audience.
From July 4 to 10, 2024, Montreal hosted the 10th edition of the Parlement Francophone des Jeunes (PFJ), a flagship event bringing together young people aged 18 to 25 from across the French-speaking world.
In a landscape where digital communication sits at the heart of every exchange, the APF wanted to modernize its image and connect with its audience through visual content that was both striking and responsive.
To make it happen, Sparkling was tasked with producing all of the event’s social media content, including video and photography, with a real-time delivery requirement designed to capture the essence and energy of the gathering.
The mission
1. Modernize the institutional image
2. Engage a young, international audience
3. Deliver content fast
Project overview
Planning the media coverage for the 10th PFJ began well before the event itself. Sparkling, working alongside the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF), held a coordination meeting to define objectives, scheduling and the key deliverables to produce. The main challenge: capturing the vibrant atmosphere and the energy of the young participants, while highlighting the themes explored across the various sessions.
A team of experts on the ground
To guarantee thorough coverage, Sparkling deployed an expert team that included videographer Chad Verilli, in charge of video capture, and photographer Lisa Gloria Robert, responsible for the stills. Their mission: to be present in the conference rooms, the discussion spaces and during the informal moments, so they could seize every powerful, authentic instant of the event.
Varied content, delivered live
Each day, the team produced two videos designed specifically for social media. Edited and published the same day, these videos created a “live” effect on the platforms, giving audiences the sense of experiencing the event in real time. This express editing process demanded tight coordination between the capture and post-production teams. Thanks to streamlined workflows and the team’s expertise, content was processed and published quickly, delivering exemplary responsiveness.
Beyond the video capture, photography played an essential role in showcasing the event visually. Lisa Gloria Robert captured portraits and spontaneous moments that perfectly illustrate the energy and engagement of the participants. Shared on social media, these images helped create a warm, interactive atmosphere and strengthened the online community’s sense of connection.
Four days of events in a single video
Sparkling’s work didn’t stop at individual pieces of content. At the close of the event, the team also produced a horizontal recap video that pulled together all the highlights and offered a bird’s-eye view of the seven days of meetings, exchanges and learning. This final edit became a strategic communication tool for the APF, allowing it to build on the event’s media impact long after the doors had closed.
A close collaboration between Sparkling and the APF
The project was also defined by a strongly collaborative approach. Production management by Tabatha Sedano and project coordination by Pauline Garrabet kept communication flowing smoothly between the APF and the teams on the ground. The presence of a dedicated advisor, Jessica Malamba, ensured that the content produced stayed perfectly aligned with the APF’s values and objectives.
Authentic content, delivered instantly
The media coverage of the 10th Parlement Francophone des Jeunes demonstrated Sparkling’s ability to turn an institutional event into a living, interactive digital experience.
Thanks to a responsive content strategy and sharp technical expertise, Sparkling succeeded in engaging a young, international audience while modernizing the APF’s image. This project stands as an inspiring example of the impact a well-orchestrated audiovisual production can have on institutional communication.
In closing, these capsules for the Société de Sauvetage perfectly illustrate how an innovative approach can transform communication by combining educational rigor with entertainment. Through close collaboration with the field team and the smart integration of AI, we created captivating, accessible visual content, perfectly suited to a young, connected audience. This project proves that rethinking traditional formats opens the door to modern, high-impact communication.
