Sparkling Creates Awareness Video for Audition Québec
A video campaign raising awareness about financial abuse of hard-of-hearing seniors
Audition Québec has unveiled a brand-new video campaign to combat the financial abuse of hard-of-hearing seniors, conceived and produced by the Sparkling team.
The population is aging rapidly, and the statistics are alarming: 77% of Canadians aged 60 to 69 and 94% of those aged 70 to 79 live with some form of hearing loss. This makes them particularly vulnerable to fraud and financial abuse. Against this backdrop, Sparkling — having developed the original concept — shot two awareness videos for Audition Québec this past spring.
The campaign’s concept addresses not only financial fraud, but also the various types of abuse and micro-aggressions seniors can experience, offering a complete picture of this population’s vulnerability.
To ensure accessibility, a clear message and on-screen subtitles are built into the videos’ concept. Viewers are invited to visit AuditionQuebec.org/fraude to learn more about the campaign and how to get involved in this important cause.
The campaign is funded by the federal New Horizons for Seniors Program and will be rolled out across all of Audition Québec’s web platforms in the coming months.
