When talents merge to demystify medical jargon. Savoir média, always on the lookout for new ways to inform and educate, has recently teamed up with Sparkling, a team known for its creative flair. Their mission? Produce 20 teaching capsules to demystify medical jargon.
The result? The Word Clinic, an original series that aims to break down the barriers between complex medical terms and the general public. With the help of host Jessica Léveillée-Lemay, each episode delves into the etymology of a medical term, offering a deeper and more accessible understanding. Cancer, the brain, hormones… you name it. Curious to see how it turns out? All episodes are available on the Savoir média web platform, app and TV channel.
Behind this project are the contributions of Félix Charest as director and François De Grandpré and Sébastien Guidon as writers. All vignettes were shot and produced in Sparkling‘s multidisciplinary studio. The Sparkling team innovated for this project by installing a green background in its studio, for increased versatility and creativity!
A little bonus for humor fans: expect a few jokes cleverly distilled from each episode. This project was also supported by the Office québécois de la langue française.
“This collaboration is proof of what Sparkling can offer as a production partner. Savoir média and Sparkling have merged their expertise to produce something that is both educational and downright entertaining,” says Anne-Catherine Rioux, co-president of Sparkling.
